THERAPY ANIMALS
To youth who have experienced pain, trauma, or loneliness, and need some hope and love, animals can transcend boundaries that even the kindest human cannot. If you have a sweet, loving pet, we urge you to consider registering them as a therapy pet. And we have resources to help! Visit Gabriels Angels, linked below, for additional information on supporting at-risk youth through canine therapy. But don't feel the need to stop there. Dogs, cats, pigs, miniature horses, and a variety of other species can be registered as therapy animals and allowed to donate their love to the cause.
CHRISTIAN FAMILY CARE
Maybe your beloved pet does not want to volunteer, but you still can. There are a variety of wonderful mentorship organizations that allow you to bring your energy, compassion, and time to foster youth and other youth in need of a supportive caring adult.
